CHMOD LEACH: INNOVATIVE TECHNIQUE FOR CLUSTER HEAD SELECTION
Abstract
A wireless sensor network is the network that consists of multiple sensor nodes which helps to monitoring which makes it be used in vast number of areas. Sensor networks are used for large number of time and periodic updating is required. So main problem is to handle the collections and storing of huge amounts of data. The LEACH (Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy) protocol provides a solution to this problem where nodes are grouped together to form clusters and data are fetched from these clusters. In this paper we implemented LEACH, proposed an algorithm which is modified version of conventional LEACH by using MATLAB. Statistical instruments used are network lifetime, number of dead nodes, number of alive nodes and effect of selective forwarding attack.
