A Review on Microwave Absorber Using Agricultural Residues

Soumya Sundar Pattanayak, S. H. Laskar, Swagatadeb Sahoo

Abstract

Agricultural residue-based microwave absorbers are the current trend in the microwave communication field and they are becoming an alternative to the conventional microwave absorber made of ceramic materials. In near future, this eco- friendly microwave absorber will completely change the entire perspective of the microwave communication field. As technology is gradually evolving, there is an eventual need for research and development. This article is constructed in a way to propose various carbon-rich agricultural wastages as microwave absorbing material (MAM) with measurement techniques and methods.

Keywords: MAM, return loss, absorption, microwave absorber, electromagnetic wave.
