Electric Vehicles in India: Green Sustainable Energy Environment Challenges and Opportunities

Nayan Kusare, Saloni Desai

Abstract

The increasing depletion and pollution of natural resources have led to a growing need for products that are renewable and environmentally sustainable. One such development is electric automobiles. Electric vehicles are the replacement for petroleum-based cars. These are the source of the emerging technology in addition to being green and viable. The substitution of internal combustion engines with electric-powered counterparts holds the potential to significantly decrease pollution and prove beneficial for consumers. Many countries around the world have adopted this initiative, actively participating in efforts to enhance the environment. In this research paper, researchers contribute towards the opportunities and challenged confronted in India over imposing electric vehicles. This is done through survey conducted for better understanding of people’s perspective regarding the electric vehicle, its benefits and limitations. The questions are centered around analyzing the global demand for electric vehicles.
