A Noble Approach towards Development of e-Governance Applications
Abstract
ABSTRACT
With the development of the Information & Communication Technology (ICT) a new trend started towards its innovative use in many sectors like Banking, Education, Transportation, Communication, Defense, Aviation, as well as in Government. e-Governance as a tool for ensuring good governance aims at improving the quality, accessibility and effectiveness of Government services with the help of Information & Communication Technology (ICT). e-Governance aims to make all the government activities Simple, Moral, Accountable, Responsive, and Transparent (SMART) through the esteem use of ICT. All the e-Governance Projects are well funded, initiated very aggressively and supported by central or state government IT Departments, but still it has been estimated by the World Bank, that as high as 85 percent of e-Governance projects in developing countries are either total or partial failures.
