Hardware in Loop Testing of Power Lift Gate ECU Using NI-PXI and NI-Veristand

Abstract

Hardware-in-the-loop which stands for HIL, is a testing technique of complex RT embedded systems. An effective platform is provided by HIL testing by giving the reality of the plant under control to the test platform. The reality of the Unit under test is included in test and by providing a mathematical model of all related systems. These mathematical models are referred to as the “Unit under test simulation”. The embedded system to be tested interacts with this plant simulation. In our project, powerlift gate ECU is unit under test and we will be using LabVIEW, PXI, cDAQ and Veristand to undergo HIL testing.
