Abstract


Social media are applications that enable people to interact with each other and build social networks that increase social capital social media are applications that enable people to interact with each other and build social networks that increase social capital social media basically allows people to interact with one another and strengthen social networks, which increases social capital. Social Media is a good solution with a very brilliant prospect with further scope for advancements. This review main objective is to give detailed information about how social media affects our society. Many studies have found that social media has both positive and negative effects. Positive results include improved learning opportunities, socialisation and communication, as well as access to health-related information. Some of the negative effects of social media on societies include the terrorism, criminal activity, bullying, depression, and anxiety. Many organisations are using social media advancement as a benchmark to improve their approaches. Social networking technologies make it possible to share thoughts with others, allowing people on opposite sides of the world to communicate and exchange ideas. Individuals can use interpersonal communication to reestablish contact with former partners, friends, and
acquaintances. The paper gives a brief review on the impacts laid down on the society by social media.
