Survey on Cloud Backup and Recovery Techniques
Abstract
Abstract
The need of storing large amount of data in electronic format has been increasing. Cloud computing is such a technology used to store data, backup data and provide disaster recovery services. Cloud will store large amount of data. This stored data can be used whenever required, from anywhere. To avoid the loss of data a backup is created and the data in cloud are stored in it. The purpose of recovery service is to help the user to restore the information from backup, when the data in server is lost or any disaster occurs or any accidental deletion occurs. To achieve this, there are many recovery techniques. In this paper, various cloud backup and recovery techniques are introduced and their merits and demerits are studied.
