Digital Watermarking Schemes for Authorization of Color Images using DCT

Ashwani Kumar, Palvee Nayyar

Abstract

Abstract
Digital image processing is growing field. Digital image processing operations are mainly divided into three major categories: Image enhancement, Image compression and Image segmentation. Digital Watermarking comes under Image Segmentation. The present paper proposes the technique for the digital watermarking for digital multimedia. The growth in e-world which is coupled with computer network, world wide web and more over exponential advancement in computer performance. All these technologies has facilitated the distribution of data such as digital image, digital multimedia. The digital watermarking schemes have been proposed to resilience these kinds of unauthorized access of digital multimedia data. At initial stage, encryption and control access techniques are used to copyright protection, content authentication and ownership protection. But now days, the digital watermarking techniques are used to keep digital multimedia secure. Although significant progress has been made in digital watermarking of digital multimedia, but still there are many challenging remain in practical world application. Watermarking is an effective way to secure the digital multimedia products by embedding the watermark into the target multimedia product to prove the copyright protection, owner’s authentication on the product in this report, it will analyze all the aspects of digital watermarking technique to protect the digital multimedia content authentication and copyright and new scheme is proposed for watermarking technique.
