Experiencing 3D regions through portal using Augmented Reality
Abstract
Abstract
This paper presents how augmented reality can be used to augment different places (hotels, museums, zoos, etc.) in the user’s own environment. Augmented Reality (AR) is a new technology that involves the 3D rendering of computer graphics in the real world. Using Augmented Reality we can get the actual idea about different places instead of a false impression. Augmented reality (AR) frameworks present a blend of virtual and genuine items. Using AR we can create a virtual world right in front of us in real time without actually visiting that place. We can experience objects at different places right at our own place just by augmenting them in real time and space. In this project, we have constructed a portal using augmented reality which displays a hotel room when activated. Many times, the client is cheated when he tries to book hotel rooms where the rooms are not exactly as seen in the photo. This portal eliminates the need for photos as the client can augment the whole hotel room in his own house and can actually check the room in real space.
