The paper provides an overview of various developments in technologies related to transport system like detection of anomalies in vehicle’s health parameters, Vehicular Ad hoc Networks (VANETs), vehicular communication using mobile device as a means. It describes various applications of Intelligent Transport System and solutions adopted by many research works for providing solutions to the applications. It briefly explains some cost-effective alternatives to existing systems related to applications of Intelligent Transport Systems.
