API Ecosystem – Indian SMB Digital Transformation
Abstract
Digital transformation is the profound and accelerating transformation of business activities, processes, competencies, and models to fully leverage the changes and opportunities brought by digital technologies and their impact across society in a strategic and prioritized way. It has been argued that the true building blocks of digital transformation are the rapid prominence of APIs. The vast number of available APIs and mashups (integration of two or more APIs) in various categories has created an API ecosystem. Such applications realize the so called application mashup and provide a richer and more immersive experience to the end-users. Small and medium size business (SMB) participation in global trade is increasing; however, digital transactions are still at a low level. Cloud integration is expected to offer a cost-effective business model to form an interoperable digital supply chain. By observing the integration models, we can identify the large potential of cloud services to accelerate integration. The purpose of this project is to contribute new knowledge to wrap existing systems with REST APIs and cloud service deployment. We implement the proposed system to provide end-to-end software solutions for Food & Restaurants Industry to get digitized.Downloads
