In this paper, dispersion compensation techniques are discussed for better communication. Different schemes like pre-compensation, post- compensation and symmetrical compensation of DCF with NRZ and Manchester modulation format. To compensate the dispersion of fiber, DCF is used. Simulations have been analysed by using OptiSystem 7.0 simulator. Results are compared in terms of BER, Q-factor and total received power.
