BER Analysis of STBC MIMO-OFDM with ICI Cancellation
Abstract
Abstract
Space Time Block Code (STBC) Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) has been considered as the best technology for upcoming wireless communication systems because of its capability to transmit large data rates. But the given systems suffer from various major problems; like Carrier Frequency Offset (CFO), timing offset carrier phase noise and Intersymbol Interference (ISI) issues. In this research work, the carrier frequency offset has been solved by using Intercarrier carrier interference (ICI) self cancellation technique. By performing simulation for given system using ICI self cancellation technique it has been observed that there is an improvement of 3dB in the proposed system at bit error rate (BER) of 10-3.7 for normalized CFO of 0.3 and for normalized CFO of 0.15 there is improvement of 3dB but at the BER of 10-3 as compared totraditional MIMO systems.
