Now a day’s manufacturing and service organisations are surviving due to its efficient and effective Supply Chain Management (SCM). Internet Of Things (IOT) is a system which enables SCM to perform better by exchanging information with other connected devices, the operator or the manufacturer which is embedded with sensors, software, electronics and connectivity. This paper focuses a detailed study of past literatures regarding the significance of IOT in supply chain. The study will assist the decision makers of manufacturing organisations to understand the importance of IOT to enhance the productivity.
