Abstract

Abstract

In the hilly terrains tree falling is a natural phenomenon, also river/canals overflowing in rainy season always disturb the free movement of traffic. Eventually there will be narrow roads in the hilly terrains. Traffic block occurs due this reason can be easily occurred. These incidents block the roads for several hours. Authorities are always informed much later and precious hours are spent on the roads by public. To avoid this, Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN’s) which gives the real time information to the concerned authority and the blockage of road can be cleared at the earliest. The detour/diversion of traffic can be done at the minimum time without creating the traffic blocks in the above cases. Sensor Nodes are fitted in trees which are nearer to the road to detect tree falling and also Sensor Nodes are placed between rivers/ canals and road to detect overflowing rivers/canals.
