Classroom Buddy: Attendance Monitoring and Teaching-Learning App

Abstract


Technology plays an important role in our day-to-day activities. It makes our life very easier. Technology is measured to be extremely important in every sector. It will be education, medical, engineering, agriculture, business, and industry, etc. It provides faster and more efficient ways to get the task done. In education, technology is used very frequently in different ways. It makes activities easier for students and teachers as well. The technology is integrated into the classroom i.e. smart classroom, online education, various educational web and app that provide benefits to students and teachers in the teaching-learning process. The invention of smartphones was the revolution in human society. Smartphones use a touch screen to allow users to interact with it. Today, the most acquainted device among every individual is smartphones. The use of smartphones is increased in the last few decades. To make the academic process easier and convent, we have developed an app called “Classroom Buddy”. This app is used by teachers and students in their academics. Thus, the objective of the paper is to project the features and applications of the app- “Classroom Buddy”. The key feature of this app is to attendance monitoring and notifications of the college/school events. It will be displayed on smartphones of student and their parents. The data is scan through the bar code reader. Therefore, the real-time data is store in the database of the app. This app will create a strong integration between teachers, students, and their parents.
