Darshan B. Patel

Abstract

Abstract
In this emerging era of technology, the amount of data being generated is massive. To deal with such a huge amount of data, development of big data analytics to extract valuable information for making marketing decision is gaining popularity. This data can be either structured, semi-structured or unstructured, so it is very difficult to process such rapidly growing and changing data with the conventional database techniques. As big data is gaining popularity in the industries, it also represents risk for the declaration of sensitive information of the individual because the analytics tools collect the data for processing from varied sources. This leads to many security and privacy violations. This paper mainly focuses on the evolution of big data analytics and various frameworks used for the extracting knowledge from the datasets. It also highlights factors breaching the privacy of the data and possible solution to it. It also shows the integration of big data and PPDM (Privacy Preserving data mining) to overcome the breach of the identity of an individual.
