Gyanender Kumar, Lincoln Hadda

Abstract

Abstract

Internet of Things (IoT) is an emerging technology that has been used throughout the world. IoT has brought a revolution within the world of communication and knowledge industry as well. Effective deployment of IoT requires various issues to be addressed which include reliability, fault tolerance, security, privacy, power consumption, network connectivity, complexity, and flexibility. Reliability and fault tolerance is taken into account together of the main aspects of IoT applications. Many researchers are working in this direction to enhance fault tolerance and reliability. This article provides a review of various reliability and fault tolerance algorithms available for IoT and their comparative analysis based on various parameters. It also highlights various open issues and research challenges for IoT.
